MN1 Cecil H. Martin
This photo of me, at the helm of PBR 110, was taken in November of 1968. I had to stand on a box to be able to see over the the cowling of the boat. I could get down off that box in a big hurry when the "stuff" hit the fan. I made my mustache wax out of butch crew cut wax and bees wax-it worked well.
I'm proudest of the fact that I was able to keep my crew together for nearly my whole tour. The crew only changed due to ending tours or in the case of Jones - severe wounds. I'm also pleased that they have all become well adjusted and productive members of their communities.
